I'm biased toward Thunderbird but I think it truly is a superior mail application. That part worked fine but I was surprised I couldn't import her contacts without going through some crazy hoops.
A friend got a new PC with Windows 10 on it and I got Mail setup to connect to her ISP's mail server. I've had limited experience with the Windows 10 Mail app.
